The Montmorency County Sheriff’s Office logged a total of 105 calls for help over the week.

Deputies also arrested four people following traffic stops and picked up three people on outstanding warrants.

They were also on scene of 10 auto accidents between cars and deer.

Officers responded to a single-vehicle crash last Monday on M-32, near the Vienna Township Fire Hall.  The driver said they lost control and rolled into a ditch after hitting a deer.  No one was taken to the hospital.

And around 12:30 a.m. Sunday, deputies came across a vehicle that left the road and struck a tree.  No one was inside and the vehicle didn’t have a license plate.  Officers followed footprints in the snow, which led them to a 24 year-old Lewiston man.  The man was subsequently arrested and jailed for drunk driving and operating on a suspended license.
