The annual Bolenz Jewelry Holiday Parade and the tree lighting ceremony in downtown Alpena will air live on TV this year.

WBKB-TV has agreed to air the parade and tree lighting ceremony in their entirety following discussions with the local chamber of commerce and convention and visitors bureau.

The parade is being held next week Friday, beginning at 5:30 p.m.  The tree lighting ceremony will be held at Culligan Plaza following the parade.

The chamber of commerce says it hopes the parade and tree lighting ceremony will aired live on TV every year.  Chamber officials also say that people who want to enter a float in this year’s holiday parade must fill out an entry form by Monday.  Forms are available at the chamber office or online at www.alpenachamber.com.
