Alcona sheriff releases weekly stats

The Alcona County Sheriff’s Office has released complaint statistics from over the week.

The department logged a total of 125 calls for help.

Some of the more serious calls were for domestic violence, assault, stalking and malicious destruction of property.

There were also two reports of fraud, three civil disputes and four larcenies.

Deputies responded to 21 traffic crashes, including six property damage accidents and 15 between cars and deer.

Residents of Alcona and Gustin townships placed the most calls to police.
