The Michigan State Police Alpena Post logged a total of 58 calls for help last week.

That included three reports of insanity or suicide, three for assaults or stalking, and one each for a stolen vehicle and drugs.

Troopers arrested at least 10 people, nine on outstanding warrants.

One of the arrests occurred Saturday, when a 66 year-old man was pulled over in Alpena Township for multiple vehicle violations.  Police said the man was also driving erratically, and there was no license plate on his vehicle.  The subsequent investigation revealed he was driving on a suspended license.

Troopers also assisted at the scene of eight auto accidents over the week.
