MidMichigan Medical Center – Alpena is hosting the American Lung Association’s Freedom From Smoking program this fall.

The free program is designed to help smokers gain control over their behavior.

Each session will be led by a certified American Lung Association facilitator.  Attendees will be given support, encouragement and the tools to develop a plan for quitting and living a smoke-free life.  Led in a group format, the program sessions help encourage attendees to work on the process and problems of quitting, individually and as part of a group.

The eight-week program will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from October 23 through December 11.  Sessions will be held from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in the Leaning Center, located on the north end of campus.

Registration is required and can be completed online at www.midmichigan.org/freedomfromsmoking.  For additional assistance call 800-999-3199.
