The downtown development authority says Alpena Art Walks is coming back for a second summer of events.

Alpena Art Walks is a series of free summer events that allow people to explore the art galleries and studios of downtown past normal business hours, from 5-8 p.m. on select Fridays.

The events feature live artist demonstrations, live music in the galleries, outdoor street performers, receptions, and hors d’oeuvres at many of the stops.

Each participating location will be planning their own art-related activities within their gallery or studio, as well as offering their own drawings for prizes and giveaways.

Alpena Art Walks will be held on May 25, June 29, July 27, and August 31.

To view a list of participating businesses, visit the True North Radio Network website.  (A list of participating businesses can be viewed below.)
